When I was about 15, I decided to lose a bit of weight for my school dance. By brisk walking 30-45 mins every day with my fox terrior & eating about the same as you, I was able to lose a dress size in a month.
Looking back a few years, I now realise that I was never actually overweight, but at the upper end of the healthy weight range before losing any weight.
Not being skinny does not automatically mean you are overweight, a lesson I wish I learnt at a younger age.

Brisk walking is a good form of cardio & can assist in fat loss. But don’t limit yourself to just walking. Keep exercise fun by doing a variety of activities – like cycling, dancing, swimming, jogging, skating, team sports etc – otherwise you’ll start to find exercise boring & may stop doing it on a regular basis.

Try not to be strict with diet plans, otherwise it’s only a temporary solution. If you want to keep off the excess weight & stay healthy, you’ll have to continue to make healhy balanced eating choices for the rest of your life, so your "diet" plan needs to be flexible.

Do the power walking, but don’t go so low in calories per day. Keep it to 2000 calories a day, then you’ll have plenty of energy for other things also.
